Biggin Hill - Manawatu 

A personal guided tour of Brendon Deere's warbird collection, sit in the Spitfire, a flight in a WWII Harvard, and Air Tattoo tickets.

This is a truly unique experience you'll struggle to find anywhere else in the world. The 'Biggin Hill' hangar at Ohakea Air Force Base houses some of the coolest warbirds in the country, none more so than WWII Spitfire PV270. You can read more about the hangar and the collection here, including the story of owner Brendon Deere's uncle Air Commodore Alan "Al" Deere, DSO, OBE, DFC & Bar, a famous NZ Spitfire pilot in the Battle of Britain.

 

This prize gives you the chance to have a personal tour of Brendon's collection at Ohakea, including the one-time opportunity to sit in the genuine WWII spitfire cockpit. Following the tour you or your loved one will get a flight in the WWI Harvard trainer (pictured below). If that's not enough, you can come back to Ohakea with a free family pass to the RNZAF's 2017 Air Tattoo.
